As per the latest data released by SkillSelect (as of Mar'24), the below table summarizes the month-on-month analysis of EOI backlog by Visa Type and Status for the FY 2023-24.
The total count of "LODGED" EOIs has reduced from 55k to 54k in a month, which is a positive sign and indicates a slight improvement in visa processing speed by the DoHA, however the amount of backlog is still quite high. Also, the variance analysis of "CLOSED" EOIs shows that the DoHA has finalized net 1,340 visas during last month across the subclasses.
SUBMITTED: EOI has been submitted, waiting for Invitation
INVITED: EOI has received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) visa, but visa has not been lodged
LODGED: EOI has received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) visa, and the visa has been lodged
CLOSED: EOI has been granted or rejected visa, or the EOI has expired (after 2 years)
HOLD: EOI has been suspended by the intending migrant and cannot be invited in an invitation round
