Health/Wealth/&Relationships... but for Flute Improvisation?
I've been reflecting on how the "big 3" markets are health, wealth, & relationships as I've been thinking about how can make my offer more attractive. I help flutists improve their improvising, get off the page & play by ear... and build their improv confidence ASAP. (We Flutarians are primarily adult amateur flutists and flute teachers.) I've found some things that are working... but I'm looking for how I can apply the wisdom of health/wealth/relationships to a micro-niche that has a tendency to be "anti-capitalist." Flutists have generally never even thought about taking a group class! They are typically in the mindset of private lessons (which I offer too, in combination with the group improv games). I'm making it fun and getting great results for a few people. In the couple of years that I've been doing research & development I've certainly had some ideas about how I can lean into the "big 3." I'm trying to find a way that is "sexy" but also authentic. It's not as easy as it is for my vegan health coach friends! Here's a few ideas that have crossed my mind: ๐ช Conversation starters that help you make friends or get phone numbers at a party, like What instrument would you play if you could play any? What's your creative outlet? ๐ช Stressing how the skill of handling performance anxiety in improvisation can help even with social anxiety ๐ช Helping flute teachers make more money by being able to gig at more places and teach a wider variety of students ๐ช Discussing how the fundamentals of listening in music can improve our relationships across the board ๐ช Emphasizing the health benefits of playing flute, or my perspective of how to improve your health & wellness hand in hand with flute performance. What would you do? Any ideas/advice?? I'd love to hear a conversation about this and other niches that may seem too far out of the "health/wealth/relationship" categories at first but were still able to apply the principles that work.
