Last day of vacation: entering my denial phase
It's almost 2:00 PM.
Last day of cabin by the lake vacation.
I am in my pajamas.
And I am doing a puzzle.
Not packing. Not "preparing for real life." Not writing my to-do list for tomorrow.
A puzzle.
My bag is still open on the floor from when we arrived. There's a half-empty coffee cup next to me. I have not checked my email since Thursday. My phone is in Avion mode.
And I genuinely cannot tell you what time it is without looking.
This is not procrastination.
This is a spiritual practice.
They say successful people have a "Sunday routine."
Mine is apparently called aggressive denial that Monday exists.
Heading back to civilization tomorrow. Tonight, though?
The puzzle is not going to finish itself.😜
