Community Theme

I see the advice to pick a community theme that's a childhood favorite having NOTHING to do with what we talk about in the community. How are y'all doing this in your communities? I'd love to know.

I could do something like Super Friends, a cartoon I loved as a kid, but I'm not settled on it. As a digital artist & writer, I kind of want to create my own fun characters (easy for me).
