A/B Split testing communites
I’m running a small experiment on Skool and I’m curious how others here think about it.
Rather than optimizing for a single type of community, I’m testing two in parallel. Same platform, similar effort, different motivation. One is more serious and professionally oriented. The other is deliberately hobby-driven.
The goal isn’t to see which one “wins.” It’s to understand how different motivations behave here when the inputs are held constant. Who engages, how deeply, and what kind of energy comes back over time.
Early on, it feels close to a 50/50 split, but that’s anecdotal. The real value will be in observing participation, retention, and signal quality, not just raw growth.
Regardless of the outcome, I expect this to sharpen how I think about community design on Skool and where this platform is strongest.
If you’ve run similar experiments or noticed patterns here, I’d be interested in your take.
TIA
