First off. If you don’t want to grow your business then yes Google may not be important for you business.
But since you’re in the community I will assume you do want to grow your business.
I talk to business owners every week who don’t think their website, google business profile, and reviews are important.
Most of the time their reasoning is because they have made it this far in their business without focusing on it.
But the logic is flawed.
Just because something has worked for you for the last 20 years doesn’t mean it will work the next 20 years.
Also most of these businesses have an older customer base.
Newsflash old people die.
And younger people get old.
In 10 years the now 50 year olds will all still be using Google.
Over the next ten years Google will filter out all the businesses that don’t take an online presence seriously.
Just because these businesses will run out of people reading the newspaper or whatever ancient marketing channel they are using.
These are the type of people that use Google.
Anyone lacking information on the local area thinking people that just moved to your area.
Anyone who had a bad experience with the last company they worked with similar to you.
Young people whether they are 5 years old or 55 years old are using Google.
The graphic below illustrates the pool of potential customers and how they can end up choosing you instead of your competitors.
All that to say Google is important if you want to grow and be in business in 10 years.
