80%+ of the GMC approvals we do are for fashion dropshippers. However, it is no secret that GMC approvals are a bit harder for dropshippers than for brand owners. Here are 5 things that you could implement today to increase your chances of an approved GMC:
1) All of your products need to be original:
One of the few things that highly influences your GMC approvals is that your products are easily detectable by Google's AI system. They will search the internet for other stores that are using the EXACT same photos. This usually results in an instant GMC disapproval. How could you fix this? Use AI to regenerate your product images. This makes sure that the images are non-detectable & GMC compliant.
2) Make your store look more branded:
This is one of the hardest parts. Google scans your store and decides the UI is good enough for their users. When your store does not look branded enough and doesn't have the right storytelling, Google will reject your store. The things you should focus on to keep it as branded as possible are:
- Having a proper brand story
- A consistent use of colours across the whole store
- Having a sharp & clean logo
3) Avoid using fake urgency tactics:
Do NOT use fake reviews, urgency or scarcity tactics. Google views this as a misleading tactic and will immediately flag your store. Only apply this when you've done a bit more ad spend and have a stable GMC. Make sure that for the initial approval, your store is clean & compliant.
