Let’s talk about longevity.
Not the “anti-aging” nonsense that promises to erase wrinkles in 7 days - that's only done by surgery ladies - not hating, just saying. Also, kinda creepy to have a 40+ person look like a 20-year-old girl, just sayin'.
But I digress, the deeper conversations worth having here are about feeling good in your body for decades to come.
It’s about supporting how your body functions as you age, energy, brain health, resilience, and cellular repair. Even magazines like Vogue recently noted that the goal of many longevity supplements is not just about cosmetic improvement but helping you feel better and function better over time.
And if we look good as a result, well, dang, that's the real long game.
Let’s look at a few of the supplements that keep coming up in longevity conversations.
1. NAD+ Boosters (The “Cell Energy” Conversation)
NAD+ is a molecule involved in cellular energy production and repair. As we age, our NAD+ levels naturally decline, which may contribute to lower energy, slower repair, and metabolic changes. Think aging faster on the inside and out. Supplements that contain nicotinamide riboside (NR) or nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) are designed to help boost NAD+ levels in the body. They are what you buy in the stores in terms of supplements, and they are the ingredients your body needs to make more NAD.
People in the longevity space are excited about this because NAD+ plays a role in things like:
- DNA repair
- mitochondrial function
- cellular energy production
It’s not magic — but it’s one of the most researched pathways in aging science right now.
I have personally taken it orally, and my gym gains were great because I had more stamina. I would love to get injections. If you have hit me up, was it worth it???
3. Omega-3s (Still One of the Most Underrated and SO IMPORTANT)
Omega-3 fatty acids continue to be recommended by experts for supporting heart health, brain function, and reducing inflammation — all key factors in healthy aging.
But they’re foundational. And often, the most boring supplements are the ones with the best long-term evidence.
This is a MUST.
If you buy anything, go get the good stuff of this and take it daily. If you are having gross burps or anything, please throw out your supplement or return it, that only happens when it has gone bad.
The benefits of Omegas are huge, decreased depression, improvements in kids with ADHD, I swear it helps my skin and hair, anyway, I cannot say enough good things.
4. Vitamin D (Especially Important as We Age)
Vitamin D supports bone health, immune function, and metabolic health. Some research suggests adequate vitamin D levels may also help reduce oxidative stress linked to cellular aging. We are talk about the outside GLOW ladies!!
Many — especially those living in northern climates — simply don’t get enough from sunlight alone.
And ladies, we lose bone density as we age, because our hormones do crazy things. If you don't want to fall and break a hip, get this in you. You don't have to go bananas with doses, but if you wear sunscreen and live in a climate with long periods of darkness seasonally, you should be taking anywhere from 2000-4000 IUs daily.
OK, now for an important REALITY CHECK about longevity supplements
No supplement replaces the basics. Don't jump over dollars chasing pennies.
The dollars? Sleep. Strength training. Protein. Sunlight. Real food.
Supplements are exactly what the name implies — for support, but not the foundation.
But if you’re someone who cares about aging well, having the right tools in your toolkit can absolutely make sense.
Not because we’re trying to freeze time.
But because we’re playing the long game with intention.

Because the goal isn’t perfection. It’s standards. And if we’re lucky, a long life where we still feel amazing in our bodies.
