Self-hosting is really cool, and to show off just how cool it is we're offering a FREE AI API Platform. OpenAI compatible, with over 20 of the best open source models. You can use any or all of them completely free.
Ryker Ross and I have been building Courier for over a year now. It's a software that turns any M-series Mac into a production ready AI API platform. It's a drop-in replacement for your OpenAI API platform but with open source models running on Macs instead of GPTs running in data centers.
The best way to learn with AI is by experimenting. Everything I learned about Open Source AI models was from experimenting with them all year. Now, we're giving everyone that same opportunity at no cost.
I've got a Mac Studio M3 Ultra with 512GB of Unified Memory and I would love for people to put it to work. So, sign in and start using it! We've got OpenAI compatible APIs and custom n8n nodes and I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I also released something I call the "Open Source Almanac" and it includes all of the models we host on our cloud, my experience with them, and recommended use case for anyone interested in learning about which models to use when considering self-hosting.
Just sign in on the website and head to the dashboard. Add library models to your workbench and you can start chatting with them right away in the API Lab.
