Euijoo and Fuma Proved Me Right Once Again That I Stan the Right Group.
To clarify the context, this happened during the second day of the WE ON FIRE showcase. Nicholas suddenly felt unwell and wasn't able to perform because he was having trouble breathing. He was taken to the hospital immediately, and thankfully it wasn't anything serious. From what I know, it was a mild asthma attack, although I'm not completely sure about that, especially since Nicholas doesn't actually have asthma.
What really touched me wasn't only the situation itself, but the way the members handled it. Euijoo and Fuma showed exactly what true leaders should be like. They stayed calm, reassured everyone, and did everything they could to make sure Nicholas didn't feel guilty for not being able to perform. Instead, they kept reminding him that his health was the priority and that it was completely okay to step away from the stage.
The moment that completely broke me was when Euijoo said, "Believe in the eight of us, okay? No one is disappointed in you." Those words were so simple, yet they carried so much love and reassurance. You could see how much he cared about Nicho and how desperately he wanted him to stop blaming himself and trust that the other eight members would take care of everything until he came back.
Another moment that really stayed with me was when Nicholas said, "I think I'll regret it for the rest of my life if I don't go." Euijoo immediately responded, "If you go on stage today and your condition gets worse, then we'll all regret it, not just you." To me, that was the response of a true leader. It felt like what he really meant was that if Nicho had forced himself to perform and something had happened to him on stage, the other eight members would never have forgiven themselves for letting him go out in that condition. They would have blamed themselves because, at the end of the day, his health mattered so much more than one performance. Euijoo wasn't thinking about the showcase or about having to rearrange everything. He was thinking about making sure one of his members felt supported, safe, and loved, even if that meant performing as eight instead of nine.
I'm really glad Nicholas listened to his leaders and chose to rest. I can't even imagine how difficult that decision must have been for him, especially knowing how much he loves performing and how worried he was about disappointing the fans and the members. But sometimes the strongest thing you can do is trust the people who care about you and put your health first.
This is what being a real leader means. It's not just about standing in the center or leading performances. It's about protecting your members, supporting them during difficult moments, making them feel safe, and reminding them that they never have to carry everything on their own. Euijoo showed exactly what true leadership looks like, and Fuma was right beside him, quietly supporting both Nicholas and the rest of the members throughout the entire unexpected situation.
Moments like this remind me why I love this group so much. Their bond is genuine, and the way they care for each other goes far beyond what we see on stage. They aren't just teammates. They're a family. They support each other through every difficult moment, celebrate each other's successes, and always put one another first.
Euijoo and Fuma proved me right once again that I stan the right group, and moments like this make me even prouder to support all nine of them. I'll always be by their side, just as they're always by each other's side. 🤍
