Working with our local MP’s
In an effort to educate our local MP’s on how their plans are seriously affecting rents and housing for Tenants in our area I contacted all the Newcastle, North Tyneside & Northumberland MP’s along with our Mayor Mr Driscoll and invited them all to come to our meeting and see how responsible you all are.
I also suggested it might be helpful for them when formulating and voting on the RR Bill! Also asking if they could not make our next meeting would they like to be advised of future events?
Ian Lavery responded he was busy with Parliamentary business!
Chi Onwurah apologised for not being able to attend but would like to try and come to a future one so please keep her informed!
No response from the rest!!
A rather disappointing response but perhaps does show why they are so out of touch!
If you have any interactions with your MP can I suggest you raise this with them and encourage them to do some fact finding!
