Hi everyone, I’m Daniel – solo dev working on an emotional-survival game called Sappy. For the last months I’ve been building a 2D top-down game where the whole world visually reacts to the main character’s emotions. Sappy has two core emotional states — Sad and Happy — and the environment shifts with him: colors, textures, lighting, even movement abilities (lower jump when sad, more strength when angry, etc.). My goal is to explore a message about accepting every part of yourself and turning emotions into mechanics. I’m doing all art, code and design solo — hand-painted textures, Unity implementation, reveal systems, emotional world states, etc. I’d love to know if the concept resonates with you as fellow devs. Any feedback, criticism, or questions are super welcome.
