Game Jams!
I like doing game jams - I've entered many more than I've submitted to, but in every case I've learned something new. The jams that I do submit to end up in my itch portfolio. Have you done game jams before? Are you solo dev or team dev? If you are a team dev, what is your role? What is your chosen engine to work with?
Anyone have any upcoming game jams they are interested in? Here are a few I'm looking forward to:
12/17-12/24 Jame Gam Christmas Edition : Theme - Light, Object - Bell
12/18-12/24 The Christmas Game Jam 2025 : Theme - Christmas in Chaos. Optional challenge - Steampunk
12/18-12/29 RPG Maker 10 Day RTP Challenge # 4 : throw away our perfectionism and just make something stupid and fun, test some ideas, see what works in practice and what doesn't. And we are going to use primarily what's already provided by default with RPG Maker. All those default RTP assets!
12/19-1/4 Toy Box Jam 2025 : game jam where host gives you sprites, sounds, music -- and you have to make a game with those assets!
