The idea for pause.do started from something that made me uncomfortable. I watched a video by steven https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbS3CLSOeoU&t=3s discussing an MIT paper showing that when people rely heavily on LLMs for simple tasks, their cognitive engagement can actually drop over time. That stuck with me. So I built a small weekend project: a screen-time style browser extension with a twist. Instead of blocking websites, pause.do introduces small pauses when attention tends to drift AI prompts, long scrolling sessions, tab overload starts, when you spend too long in certain apps. Funny story, so last week on coffee with Perrin, I asked Perrin for guidance on whether I should continue my web development agency or move on to SAAS coz my sales process took a long time (over 3 months) and took away a lot of energy, He sent me a loom video teaching me how I can shorten the process, we had a lot of back and forth in the comments, which you guys can go checkout and finally we concluded that I should probably move to SAAS as it has better enterprise value and can be sold later on. So I decided to come up with an idea and also create the offer for my saas following all the stuff from Perrin's "Bullet proof SAAS offer" course (checkout the loom I posted earlier), But I just wanted to try once more with this prospect, I just couldn't get myself to walk away from the deal that was right there on the table. I gave it one last try. This time armed with the knowledge of how to add "Bonuses", "Urgency", "Guarantee". I sent an email thinking they would not even reply but they said yes and sent me this. First sale | 85$ revenue without even launching my Saas
This morning, I reached out to the two people who were interested in my SaaS before the launch. I offered them a special 3-month deal with the option to grab a lifetime pass if they loved the software. One of them got back to me right away, hopped on a call, and after answering some of her questions, she paid $85 upfront for the 3 months. I know it's not a huge amount, but hey, it’s revenue, and it feels great to finally be making some! Now just waiting to hear back from the other person who was interested. I’ll keep you guys posted!.
