Hey everyone — I’m Tom Sorce, co-founder of The Freelance Freedom Lab. I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, and I’ve spent the last 20+ years leading B2B marketing teams, building communities, and helping founders turn ideas into real results.
Over the years, Sam and I have talked to hundreds of freelancers who all share similar challenges: trying to land clients alone, navigating the chaos, struggling with consistency, and not always knowing what the next right move should be. We created The Lab because freelancers shouldn’t have to figure this out alone — and because clear steps, accountability, real-time help, and community make everything easier.
My role here is simple: to support you, keep things moving, and help shape a community that brings freelancers real clarity, momentum, and faster results.
I’ll be in here every day helping guide conversations, responding to questions, and making sure The Lab feels like a place you can rely on. I’ll also be working closely with Sam to build and curate the content you’ll experience here — from weekly live sessions and daily insights to the 90-day roadmap and curriculum we’re releasing on January 1, 2026.
With my background in marketing, positioning, messaging, and growth strategy, I’ll be sharing ideas and frameworks along the way — and asking for your input as we shape a program that actually reflects what freelancers need in the real world.
And just to share a bit of our mission…
We’re here to serve as many freelancers as we can who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a more structured path. Over time, this will become a space for designers, writers, marketers, developers, strategists — anyone on a freelance journey who wants to grow with support instead of doing everything alone.
We’re grateful you’re here at the start of it, helping us build the culture and momentum that will shape this community for years to come.
