First meeting booked for tomorrow, I've been in the SMMA since December '22 and this is my FIRST ever meeting. It's easy to say I'm sh*tting bricks. But I love it. I feel confident. Let me tell you, it's been loooooong, let's see how I perform. Don't give up guys
I am starting to work with Solar Company from California and just running ads for them. $3k/mo. The hack to getting to your goals easily is just taking action, guys. 50 cold calls per day and 30 personalized emails per day. It is unavoidable that you will not make money if you do your best.
Hey guys! Wanted to share this with you y’all! Just signed a new client about an hour ago! $5,000 paid up front and $2,500 monthly fee! 🙏🏼 I join this group to network with other SMMA owners in the space! Let’s connect ✊🏻
Me and my business partner finally decided to get a mentor and it has made us finally pick up the phone after a long time of avoiding it. We've booked 4 discovery calls (2 already done) with both proceeding to demo calls. • 1 discovery call Tomorrow • 1 discovery call on Friday • 1 demo call Tomorrow🤞 • And another demo call on Saturday🤞 Moral of the story... PICK UP THE PHONE! 10K/M Here We Come!
I've been in the SMMA space for a couple years now, and outreach has by far been the most difficult part. Being one of my biggest weaknesses in the past, I gave up on this business model entirely at one point, and started doing other things instead (dropshipping, blogging, affiliate marketing, etc...) But something always brought me back to SMMA, like someone put a spell on me, and it made it very difficult for me to actually stop. But in the last 6 months, I've been putting my head down and focusing on one thing and one thing only. Outreach, Outreach, and more outreach... Honestly, being someone that tried over and over, and quit many times, and nothing really worked, it's safe to say that i now say that i found a system that works for me.
So just an update over the last 23 days of SMMA I have gotten 2 clients. Both on commision based deals. Just wanted to thank Max again. I looked at smma first bout a year ago and just kept delaying it. Now i am dialed in.
Everyday posting reminders to cold call but no clients? Well guess who just got off a pretty positive demo call with an onboarding booked in... Me and my partner. Get calling - it's your first step to success but you just don't know it yet. See you tomorrow.
Hi all, Hope you are all doing well and working hard. I wanted to share my experience with my outreach. At the start I was only doing DM’s and Cold Emails. I wasn’t getting any booked meetings and got blocked many times. Then I came across Jordan Platten’s videos and saw how he got meetings booked in just by cold calling. So I set a goal to start cold calling everyday, as many businesses as I possibly can. So today I started, I was very scared at first but I just went straight for it. On my first cold call I got a meeting booked! I’ve so far only done 12 cold calls and got 3 booked meetings and I am very happy about this! Cold calling is not dead! If you are struggling with your outreach then try cold calling. It really is scary when you first start, but what’s the worst that can happen? A simple “Not interested”? So what are you worried about! DONT HESITATE!
I though it may be valuable to break down how I signed my first SMMA client within a month of starting with ZERO testimonials/case studies. Outreach: Cold Calling (around my 500th cold call). Niche: Home improvement. Offer: $2000/mo on a 3-month contract for FB ads management (plus GHL & its additional ad-ons). Closing The Client: I used the exact pitch deck from the course with a few customizations/ad-ons. The client was already running FB ads. In my pitch deck, I customized a few slides to include a FB ads analysis (ie. ways that they could improve their ads). The client told me that this was what sold him as he realized that his team had little to no idea what they were doing when creating their ads. After running ads for this client for ~2 weeks, they have seen better results than they saw in 2 months from their own ad. I also included a mockup/sample ad with a compelling offer that would suit their niche. If you are pitching a business on a sales call, I would highly recommend including a mockup of the ads that you would run for the client (customized with their company logo, project images, etc.) Service Delivery Status: After signing this client, I didn’t have a Media Buyer so I learned how to run FB ads by myself. It was initially a steep learning curve but is manageable and a super useful skill to know. I would honestly recommend that you learn media buying yourself as an SMMA owner. It helps you sell your service when you actually know the ins and outs of it. Anyways, I hope this helps provide some inspiration for everyone still hurting to sign their first client. If you have any questions, feel free to drop em below. One last thing, LET’S GET AFTER IT!
So about 8 months ago, i didn't really have knowledge about SMMA and its kind of funny that i got to this point, because i was where many of you are now, basically consuming every single Youtube, Tik-tok, reels video i could find and the truth is i never really put in the work, i never really "found the time" to do the work, but that's completely untrue, i was just lazy and did not see any reason for me to actually do the work, send my messages, make my calls and do my follow ups. It was Saturday the 14th of February 2023 where i just said F it and dove right in, head first, ready to take on every challenge that comes my way. Obviously it did not come easy, there were many things that went wrong, spending $900 on ads and only getting 8 leads that didn't even convert (did not know what i was doing) It was after i first realized how to run ads that i started getting clients booking meetings with me left and right, but honestly before that i wasted many hours and wasted so much f money on courses and pointless books which i never needed. All i actually needed was a good video or coach that taught me how to build a basic framework on how to run b2b ads to book appointments, how to follow up with these leads and qualify the leads and make sure... they didn't book "just for fun" and actually showed up... Fast forward to now i get a new lead and booked appointment every 20 minutes, i hold a record of booking 5 meetings in 20 minutes (i actually attached a picture for you guys to see) Everyone of you is wasting your time doing these 3 things: 1. Cold Calling 2. Cold Dming 3. Cold Emailing I ran a simple facebook ad which had a free offer with "limited spots available" and when they eventually get to the call i bait and switch them. If you have any questions lemme know. Happy to help.
If you dont have atleast $1,000 to spend this does not really apply to you. So at first I thought calling, dming and emailing will solve all my problems. Honestly for a moment in time it did and i was super content with getting the odd client here and there, but it was not stable at all, i could never get a client on “demand” it was only until i implemented this exact strategy that i scaled to $50,000 cash collected, not even 2 months after i implemented this. Im gonna give it away for free because this community is amazing🥂 This is how i ran one simple ad, no a/b testing, no $100+ a day adspend and absolutely no guarantees. I did this with only $1000 saved up a bit of knowledge about terms within my niche (chiropractic) and a few clicks on canva. This simple framework is easy and it WORKS! Ive not seen anyone doing this so its new and its definitely exciting📈 While i wont be sharing the creative with you guys, if you can slap two brain cells together then you will understand what you need to do. The creative has only 3 rules: 1. Give something away for free (your service, ebook) 2. Create scarcity (limited spots, limited time) 3. Make then ad as simple as can be. (Old way vs New way) No guarantees, no money back, no refunds. Your only goal with this ad is to collect prospect information. The ad directs them to a landing page where you have a VSL, this vsl should be a brief 5 minute explainer of the ebook, why are you credible to give advice (its your social proofing for the next step) (in short a VSL is a online sales letter where you sell or upsell visitors something that visits your landing page) On this landing page they have to watch your VSL, they are given an option to download the ebook after an optin page where you collect their info (name, number, email) this is a “lead” for those of you who dont know. The ebook directly starts downloading after filling in the optin form. After they have filled in the optin form, they are riderected to yet another VSL, a short 2-3 minute vsl where you explain the ebook or free offer and this is the important part in the process where you actually get to book a meeting with them.
After launching campaigns for my first two clients. I got back to outreach and landed my third. Lesson learned - Keep up your outreach while onboarding clients. I focused all my time and effort into onboarding clients and setting up their systems. This lead to a 2-week period where I had no sales calls. I'm not back at it with the outreach and just signed my third client! To everyone out there still grinding for that first client, I can assure you that they are right around the corner. Keep your volume high and you will undoubtedly bear the fruits of your labour. Let's GO 🦁
I want to make an update on my recent post. I have now got 4 clients paying me $2000 p/m since starting and fully taken action. Never did I ever think this would be a possibility. with resilience and consistency anything Is possible. My goal still stands. Lets go! #15clientsbefore1stJanuary
Started our business back on May 12th as a SMMA agency and after a few pivots and adjustments, we’ve hit $100k cash collected at the 119 day mark! Much gratitude to @Max Perzon on inspiring my business partner and I to go down this journey and giving us the tools to build this amazing business from the ground up. Looking forward to seeing what the next week will bring, have a great weekend everyone! edit: Since I've had a few inquiries, yes I'm happy to connect and provide some guidance and support for people starting with their journey.
