You don’t need a yard to turn scraps into soil gold. Here’s the easiest way to start:
Don’t throw your leftovers- Turn it into gold for your Soil.
🍌 The “What”: Fruit & veggie peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, old herbs.
🚫 The “Not”: No meat, dairy, or oily foods.
🪣 The “How”: Grab a small lidded bin (under the sink works!). Layer scraps with dry leaves or shredded paper. Stir once a week. In a few months… black gold for your plants!
🌿 Bonus Garden Tip: Sprinkle used coffee grounds around plants to deter slugs
🍂 No Smell Tip: Always keep a small bin of “browns” (shredded paper, dried leaves) next to your compost. Every time you add kitchen scraps, toss a handful of browns on top like a blanket. No smell, no flies!
👉 Your turn! Do you compost or grow anything at home? What’s your go-to odor fix?
Share your tips.
