Unintentionally, made my first sale as an entrepreneur?
The old saying goes "when life gives you lemons🍋, you... throw them to feel better".
I clearly don't have that saying down which might explain why my life stays interesting.
Last week I found myself navigating an unexpected transition at my job. I quit.👋
But that’s not even the story.
I still had my own leads (prospecting queen 👑 behavior), I signed a referral agreement with a partner I trust in the industry… and then boom💣 : closed won.
In my head, it was just me helping someone who needed AI guidance.
But in my 1:1 with @Bill, he pointed out something I completely missed. I accidentally made my first sale as an entrepreneur. Me? An entrepreneur??? What the hellyyyyy. ❓
I double-checked my NDA, and as long as I’m not poaching customers, I’m allowed to pursue this path. I can’t share specifics on the deal, but I can say I made more than I would’ve at the company I left.
I’ve always wondered how people discover the ideas that launch them into entrepreneurship. Nothing ever clicked for me.
Turns out… sometimes the idea finds you.
I’m grateful because there was no plan B to quitting my job.😂 I would’ve hated for my 3–5 years of AI experience and hard-earned relationships to go to waste.
