I swear!!!
Washing the laundry? Fine
Drying it? Somehow manageable.
But folding it⊠and then making the bed if itâs bedsheet week??
Thatâs where my brain taps out. đ
Iâve noticed this with ADHD minds (mine included): Itâs not that we canât do tasks.. itâs that multi-step, boring, low-reward transitions feel disproportionately hard.
Laundry isnât one tasks. Its -
âą notice itâs done
âą take it out
âą fold it
âą decide where it goes
âą put it away
âą (bonus round) remake the bedđŸ
By the time we get there, the dopamine is gone and the resistance is real. So the clean laundry lives in a pile. And the bedsheet situation becomes⊠tomorrowâs problem. đ
( I slept on the couch for last 3 days I swear)
This isnât laziness. Itâs how attention, motivation, and task-switching work differently for ADHD brains. Some tasks just cost more than they look like they should.
So now Iâm curious
đWhatâs YOUR âfinal level bossâ task?
The one that feels absurdly hard for no logical reason?
Drop it below - letâs normalize the weirdly specific struggles đ
