Flute Nerd Lab is a safe and supportive place for flute players-from beginning to professional level. Even if you are still in the lurking stage you can glean so much by visiting the site. Alex and the group of musicians involved are so friendly, positive, and willing to help others. Alex shares her passion for playing in everything she puts on the site. She finds such fun, motivating, and truly important things for us to learn and share. I find so much encouragement through this group.

I've lurked in many different online flute communities, but kept returning to the Flute Nerd Lab with a desire to get more involved. The community is accepting of where they are in their own flute journey, and has been so supportive of videos posted by members and non-members alike. Alex has so many resources and avenues available for anyone to try, taste, dip, dunk - whatever your practice fancy. I've really enjoyed the weekly and monthly challenges, along with the discussions.

Fora like these are driven by the emotion and passion of the owner! Alexandra is just that! A beautiful person with an insatiable zest for life, a gloriously zany character with an limitless font of musical knowledge. She has a passion for music such that it has attracted a wonderful group of musicians that I am delighted to be a part of. A creative genius with weekly and monthly tasks and challenges that keep us happily engaged with our music. I'm blessed to have found her!!

I had joined various flute communities prior to discovering the Flute Nerd Lab. It is by far the best fit for me. There are lots of resources and there are also practice sessions together and coffee chats weekly with Alex. The community is exceptional. It is very active and supportive. The Bingo deserves a special mention as it is so much fun and so unique. With the support of Alex and the community, I have tried so many new things I never had the courage to do before.

I thoroughly enjoy everything about the Flute Nerd Lab! There is always something interesting and engaging happening (my favourite being flute bingo!), and a very supportive, friendly, active community of players at every level - I am amazed to say that posting videos there actually feels comfortable! There is a wealth of information available in archives, including guest workshops which is completely worth upgrading for. Highly recommend joining!
