Changing the World (Ego vs Heart)
Hi,
Something has been quietly shifting in my thinking lately.
For much of my life, I loved the idea of changing the world.
If I’m honest, part of that was my ego talking… or perhaps shouting.
My ego likes big things:
winning
competing
being the best
making a big impact
But as I get older, something softer seems to be speaking a little louder.
My heart keeps reminding me that the most meaningful moments in life rarely look like “changing the world.”
They look like human connection.
One person listening to another.
One person helping another feel seen.
One person offering kindness at the exact moment it is needed.
I’m starting to realise something that feels quietly true:
Helping one person is enough.
Not because the world doesn’t matter.
But because the world is made of people.
And sometimes helping one heart reconnect is just as meaningful as reaching thousands.
This community was never meant to be a place for big declarations.
It’s more of a campfire.
A place where thoughtful people can slow down, reflect, and talk honestly about what really matters.
Just something I’ve been reflecting on lately.
With Gratitude
Warren
