It's important to be a man of your word (honest, trustworthy, commitment keeper) and the Word (study the Scriptures).
2 Timothy 2:15 TLV-"Make every effort to present yourself before God as tried and true, as an unashamed worker cutting a straight path with the word of truth."
Here's a way to start studying The Parables:
I ran across these assessment questions when studying parables. Hope it helps.
1 Occasion for a parable
2 Important characters
3 What are characters actually saying in quotation marks
4 What happens at the end
5 Throwing halos or horns
--Throwing halos = treating someone as automatically holy, righteous, correct, or beyond
criticism.
--Throwing horns = treating someone as automatically evil, corrupt, deceptive, or wrong.
