Hi! I’m Katie—a mom to the three beautiful children in this photo… and to the big one with the mustache, too! 😉
I’ve worked with children my entire adult life, starting with teaching ice skating lessons at age 16. I later graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Applied Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. From there, I earned my teaching certification through Ottawa University in Kansas City and became a classroom teacher.
I taught both 2nd and 4th grade and was honored to receive a Teacher of the Year award from Junior Achievement in just my second year of teaching. After taking a few years off to grow our family, I opened my own daycare center in 2015.
Since then, I’ve worn many hats—teacher, director, administrator, and everything in between—and I truly love every part of supporting children as they learn and grow.
