Opening Reflection
I want to start with something that really changed the way I look at money.
God is my source. Not my job, not my paycheck, not my business, not even my clients.
When we forget that, we start to feel anxious; we start checking accounts constantly and we start worrying about “what if.” But when we truly remember who our source is, there’s a different kind of peace that settles in.
Let’s take a look at this scripture
Philippians 4:19 says:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Not some of your needs. All of them.
Teaching
A lot of us work hard. We budget. We plan. We hustle.
But if we’re honest, sometimes our sense of security is tied more to our income than to God.
And income can change.
Jobs shift. Contracts end. Businesses slow down. Markets fluctuate but God doesn’t.
When God is your source, money is just a channel. Your job is just a channel. Your business is just a channel.
The channel can change but the SOURCE REMAINS THE-SAME.
That mindset alone can calm so much financial fear.
Practical Application
So here are a few things to reflect on this week:
- Where have I really been placing my trust?
- Have I invited God into my financial decisions or only into my financial emergencies?
- Am I speaking fear over my finances, or am I speaking faith?
Closing Prayer
Father God,
I give you my fears and I give you my finances.
Help me remember that you are my true provider.
Teach me to manage what you’ve placed in my hands with wisdom, discipline, and peace.
I choose to trust you completely, help me trust you completely.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
