A prayer for this season
Dear God, if there is anything we need from You this year, it’s clarity. Lead us clearly and without confusion into the greatness You already intended for our lives. Not greatness for applause or validation, but the kind that brings peace, alignment, and rest in our spirits.We know there will be hills, moments of doubt, and seasons where we don’t fully understand what You’re doing. Still, we ask You not to let us wander. Don’t let us mistake movement for purpose. Don’t let us settle just because we’re tired.
If we try to rush ahead of You, slow us down.
If fear makes us shrink, stretch us anyway.
Remove what looks good but isn’t from You, and detach us from what feels familiar but delays our growth.
Teach us how to trust You when You’re quiet.
Teach us how to obey You when it costs us comfort.
Teach us how to stand firm when waiting feels heavy.
Shape our character for where You’re taking us — even when the shaping hurts, even when we don’t understand it yet. We don’t need easy. We need right.Cover our minds when fear tries to speak louder than faith. Cover our hearts when disappointment tries to harden them. Order our steps so we don’t miss what You prepared just for us.
We give You permission to do the work in us, all of it. We trust You with the becoming, the timing, and the version of us we haven’t met yet.
Lead us, God, and we will follow. Amen. 🤍
