🟣 Saturday — Receive Before You Achieve
Truth:
God’s love is received, not earned.
Formation begins with acceptance.
Micro‑Teaching:
We often relate to God through effort—what we accomplish, fix, or improve. But Scripture consistently presents grace as God’s starting point, not the reward. God gives Himself before we give anything back. When achievement becomes central, formation quietly turns into performance. Learning to receive trains us to rest in what God has already given rather than striving to secure what is already ours. From that place, obedience becomes response, not self‑justification.
Practice (Today):
Sit quietly for one minute.
Do nothing to impress God.
Simply receive His presence.
Pray:
“I receive what You freely give.”
Reflection:
Where do you relate to God through performance?
How might receiving reshape the way you live and obey today?
Word of the Day (teaser):
Grace — God’s unearned gift that precedes your effort.
