⬡ FIELD REPORT // THE TRAIL DOESN'T HALLUCINATE or Did it?
Tested three AI platforms this week with the same Forge OS protocol.
One nailed it. Named a real trail, the watershed, the geology underfoot.
One gave me "a scenic area near you."
One sent me to a fence that doesn't exist.
The AI is a tool. A good one. But it can confabulate with complete confidence — and that's a problem when you're trying to find an actual trailhead.
The trail doesn't do that.
Show up. It's there. Every time.
This is why the Summit OS protocol has an anti-fabrication rule baked into v1.5 — vague but honest beats confident and wrong. Every single time. Now we are testing V1.8.
I'm still beta testing across platforms and logging the variance. You'll get the full field report here first.
In the meantime — let's go explore.
