When Paul wrote to Timothy from prison, he said:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” - 2 Timothy 1:7.
Paul was reminding Timothy to be bold in sharing the gospel, but it got me thinking... where are we letting fear get the best of us in our finances when in reality we should be focusing on the power, love, and sound mind that we inherit from God?
Financial fear tells us:
“You’ll never get out of debt.”
“You’re too far behind.”
“You’re not disciplined enough.”
But God gives us something different:
Power: to take the next step.
Love: to give generously.
A sound mind: to manage wisely.
Financial stewardship isn’t about perfection - it’s about trust.
You’re not called to live in fear about money. You’re called to walk in faith, with clarity and peace.
So today, speak this over yourself: “I don’t make money moves from fear. I make them from faith.”
