Define Your Dream
One of the biggest reasons people fall short of their goals is that they never clearly define them.
As Marie Forleo writes in her book “Everything Is Figureoutable,” “Vague goals produce vague results. If you’re not clear on what you want, you’ll settle for what you get.”
This is what vague and undefined goals look like:
  • “I want to get in shape.”
  • “I just want to feel better.”
If you want real change, you need real clarity.
This is what clear and defined goals look like:
  • “I want to lose 15 pounds over the next 12 weeks so I can fit into my clothes comfortably and feel confident at my friend’s wedding.”
  • “I want to improve my mood and focus by committing to 30 minutes of daily movement and drinking 100 oz of water each day for the next 30 days.”
The key difference between a vague goal and a clearly defined one is a deadline.
A defined goal sets a clear target with a specific time frame, so when the deadline arrives, you’ll know exactly whether you hit the mark or not.
It’s done, or it’s not. No guesswork. No gray area.
A fun and powerful way to bring your goals to life is by creating a vision board.
No, it won’t magically make your goals happen—but it will help you stay focused and inspired by keeping your vision front and center every day.
If you prefer writing things down, that also works! Journaling or creating goal lists can be just as effective.
The point is to get your goals out of your head and into the real world—to turn vague wishes into crystal-clear commitments you can see, feel, and move toward.
You don’t need to know every detail right now; just keep your vision at the forefront and focus on taking the next best action.
When your 'why' is strong, the 'how' always finds a way.
