Everest Base Camp Hike
Mount Everest, with an altitude of 8,848.86 meters above sea level, is the highest point on the planet, making it a major attraction and a must-do experience for many. The rugged terrain offers an adventurous hike through local Sherpa villages, including Lukla and Namche Bazar, while presenting breathtaking views of the vast Himalayan ranges. The journey begins with a thrilling flight landing at Lukla Airport. With proper acclimatization, we proceed towards Everest Base Camp. The entire journey typically takes 12 days on foot; however, a shorter version can be completed in 8 days, incorporating a helicopter ride on the return to Lukla or Kathmandu.
Here's a concise itinerary for the Everest Base Camp hike:
Day 1: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding
Day 2: Trek to Namche Bazar
Day 3: Acclimatization day
Day 4: Trek to Tengboche
Day 5: Trek to Dingboche
Day 6: Acclimatization day
Day 7: Trek to Lobuche
Day 8: Trek to Gorak Shep, visit Everest Base Camp
Day 9-12: Trek back to Lukla
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu
