How I got my first 5 weddings booked 🤍
When I booked my first five weddings, I was 19 years old and genuinely shocked that anyone trusted me with their wedding hair. I was so excited… and so nervous. It’s the most important and most photographed day of someone’s life, and I just wanted everything to be perfect.
Here’s how each one came to me 👇🏻
✨ Wedding #1:
A family friend recommended me. Simple word-of-mouth.
✨ Wedding #2:
I did a styled shoot for free with a photographer and other vendors. We all shared the photos, someone loved the hair I did, and they booked me.
✨ Wedding #3:
Found me on Instagram.
✨ Wedding #4:
Found me on Facebook.
✨ Wedding #5:
A bridesmaid from one of my earlier weddings booked me for her wedding.
None of these came from a huge following, fancy website, or tons of experience. It was family & friends, social media, collaboration, and showing up and doing my best every single time.
This is such a reminder—especially in the beginning—how important it is to give everyone in the bridal party a great experience, not just the bride. You truly never know who will recommend you or end up booking you for their own wedding later 🤍
If you’re feeling discouraged because bookings aren’t flowing yet, this is your sign to keep going. That momentum does come.
