Expectations?
We walk into church expecting Heaven,
and forget it’s still full of humanity.
You expected Jesus…
but you got people who fall short, misjudge, gossip, fail, and sometimes wound deeper than the world ever did.
That doesn’t make what happened okay…
But it does make it real.
Because the church was never meant to be a place where perfect people gather,
it’s where imperfect people are supposed to be transformed.
The problem is…
not everyone surrenders.
Some just sit.
Some perform.
Some pretend.
Some hurt others while claiming His name.
And that confusion? That disconnect?
That’s where a lot of the pain lives.
But don’t confuse people with Jesus.
He didn’t wound you.
He didn’t betray you.
He didn’t overlook you.
People did.
And if you walk away from Him
because of them…
you’re letting broken vessels block your access to the only One who heals.
Stay honest about the hurt, but be careful not to place human failure on a perfect Savior.
Because Jesus is still everything people failed to be.
