This is a safe, supportive space for refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and anyone navigating the Irish international protection system. Whether you're just starting your journey in Ireland or helping others find their way, you're in the right place.
### Why Emerald Welcome Centre Exists
Ireland's international protection system recognises and supports the right to self-representation with proper guidance. However, with current Legal Aid Board wait times of 5-6 weeks and capacity constraints meaning many applicants are told to prepare documents independently, there's a critical gap.
**That's where we come in.**
We provide education, document preparation support, and community connection to empower you to navigate this process effectively - whether you're preparing while waiting for Legal Aid representation, working alongside your solicitor, or exercising your legitimate right to self-representation.

Expert-Led Courses: Step-by-step guidance through immigration procedures, settlement processes, and appeal preparation - based on real case experience and current Irish law.
Document Preparation Support:** Templates, checklists, and frameworks to help you organise and present your case professionally.
Community Connection: A network of people who understand your journey, where experiences are shared, and no one faces the system alone.
Up-to-Date Information: Current knowledge about IPO, IPAT, INIS procedures, and your rights under Irish and EU law.
