Why Lab Work Is the Foundation of Every ElevateMD Protocol

YOU CAN'T OPTIMIZE WHAT YOU CAN'T MEASURE

Labs give your physician a real-time snapshot of what's happening inside your body. They reveal inflammation levels, hormone balance, metabolic function, nutrient status, and dozens of other markers that determine how well you're aging and performing.
"NORMAL" ISN'T THE SAME AS "OPTIMAL"
This is the big one. When your PCP runs labs and says "everything looks normal," they're comparing you to the general population — including people who are overweight, metabolically unhealthy, and chronically inflamed.

- - Fasting insulin — metabolic health indicator. Standard range goes up to 25. We target under 5.
- - Vitamin D — immune function, bone health, mood. "Normal" starts at 30. Optimal is 60-80.
- - HbA1c — long-term blood sugar control. Under 5.7 is "not diabetic." We aim for under 5.4.
- - Complete hormone panels — testosterone, estradiol, DHEA-S, thyroid (full panel, not just TSH)
