Visibility Gets Paid More Than Talent

I keep seeing this conversation about celebrity glam teams charging “too much.” And I get it, from the outside it looks like the prices don’t make sense.
But what most people don’t realize is this:
You can have two people with the same level of skill…and the one who is more visible will always command double or triple the rate. People don’t pay based on effort.They pay based on perceived value. And visibility shapes that belief.
The artist who is consistently seen, clearly positioned, and visually aligned with high-level work? They feel like a bigger decision. A safer bet. A status move. Meanwhile, someone equally talented but inconsistent in how they show up… feels optional.
This is about perception. Identity. Power.
If your presence isn’t landing clearly, people will quietly place you in a lower category, no matter how skilled you are. You don’t need more talent or more degrees, you need to be more Undeniably Visible.
