🧠How I Use Perplexity Spaces to Run My eBay Business Smarter
If you’re using Perplexity AI but not using Spaces, you’re leaving a lot of efficiency on the table.
What are Spaces?
Think of Spaces as dedicated AI workspaces — like folders, but with a brain. Each Space has its own custom instructions, uploaded files, and memory of everything discussed within it. You set the tone, the context, and the focus once — and every question you ask inside that Space benefits from it automatically.
How I use them at KLJ Trading:
• 📦 Listing Space — Custom instructions tell Perplexity to always write eBay titles and descriptions in my format: keyword-rich, SEO-optimized, with condition notes included. I drop in a product name or part number and get a listing draft in seconds.
• 🔍 Parts Research Space — For industrial automation parts (SICK sensors, Siemens drives, Omron PLCs), I upload spec sheets and datasheets. Then I ask questions like “What’s the compatibility of this sensor with Siemens S7-1200?” and get sourced answers from my own files.
• 📬 Customer Communication Space — Instructions set to always be professional, multilingual (EN/DE/DK), and eBay policy-aware. I paste in a buyer message and get a polished reply instantly.
• 📊 Pricing & Sourcing Space — Custom instructions for market research. I ask about sold comps, price trends, or whether a pallet buy makes sense.
Pro tip: Always open the Space before starting a new thread — otherwise your custom instructions won’t be active for that conversation. And keep adding relevant files to the space to get even better answers.
Once you set these up, you stop re-explaining yourself to the AI every single time. It just knows what you need.
