What are you afraid of?
Great horror starts with lived experiences - everyone knows that. You want to look deeper than "I'm scared of spiders", look past it into the "why". What makes them scary?
Look into your worst fears - the deep ones. Are you afraid of the dark? Ask yourself why. Are you afraid of losing your memory? What would that mean for you? How would you translate that into a horror short?
