Applying Nathan Fowkes' Teaching to Drawing
I had a lot of fun finishing this drawing. The most fun I've had in a long time. This drawing started a few weeks ago, before Nathan arrived in Thaialnd. I was still in my usual 'comfort zone' of value and form focused drawing. I was in 'academic mode', only thinking about how I can make pretty, rendered form.
After Nathan's workshops, I took the finish of this drawing in a new direction. A direction that was uncomfortable but I think produced a much more compelling work of art.
