What exercise do you do during your off-season?

For those teams with competitive boats, what is your criteria? Do you have try-outs? Attendance requirements? Mandatory off-season work-outs? Other?

We want to better appreciate our coaching staff and are exploring options for a "perks package". Does your team offer coach incentives (e.g., discounted memberships, covered race fees, gear allowances)? What has your team found most meaningful or effective? Thanks!

I find that steering barefoot gives me more gripping capabilities for increased stability. However, after a longer practice (75 to 90 min) my feet start to hurt. Any suggestions on steer shoes that still provide foot grip?

I thought I had asked this somewhere, but I am not seeing it anywhere. Does anyone know if it is allowable to begin the online portion of level 2 steering while still completing the on water portion of level 1 steering? I ask because I am a teacher and once I return for the school year it will be difficult to complete the online tasks due to time constraints. I’ve been steering for many years, so I anticipate that the on water testing should not be problematic.
