16 year old Princess Elizabeth II - 4/25/1942
On April 25, 1942, at just 16 (the future queen) PRINCESS Elizabeth II signed up to serve her country.
She was eager. Determined. Ready.
Her father hesitated - but she didn’t.
At the same time, Germany was bombing Britain’s most historic cities using the Baedeker Travel Guides - trying to erase its beauty, its culture, its identity.
They failed.
By 18, she was a mechanic and truck driver, getting her hands dirty in the middle of war.
So here’s the question:
What war are you facing and how will you rise to meet it—with courage beyond your years?
