Sincerity is the key
I was reading the Maka Wichapi Wichoan today, a sacred indigenous text, and it spoke of sincerity. IT said unless you are sincere about taking your spiritual journey seriously, you may want to wait. Because a lack of sincerity will thwart your efforts internally. You will essentially be working against yourself. In order to conquer the outer you must first conquer the inner. Its okay if your not ready, the most important thing is to be honest with youself about where you are, what you want, and take it from there.
In time you will know when you are ready to fully embark on the journey, until then keep you eyes peeled and stay committed to doing the work you need to do in the now. There is no one size fits all way to take this journey. Embrace making it your own.
