A Long Drive

MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Yesterday, I was in a van for 18 hours, yes...18. 4am until 930pm. My visa needs to be renewed every year here in Thailand, and the easiest way to do so, is to leave the country and come back. Normally we make a mini vacation out of this event and travel for a week or so. But this time was different.

There's an important analogy incoming...stick with me.

With DSS being brand new, the daily TikTok Lives being so amazing, and general chaos of life right now, I decided to bite the bullet and just hire a van service to drive to the border and knock it all out in a day.

1 Day of complete discomfort; no sleep, a sore butt, aching back, and a rumbling stomach from 7-11 snacks. The looming threat of danger from highway travel, not seeing my son for an entire day (the longest I've ever been away from him), an agreement between me and my spouse that she will have to do 100% of the daily duties in our house.

The pay off? Another 360 days of not having to worry about this event again.

1 Day of discomfort for 360 Days of freedom.

This same principal applies to this business, to our content, to the learning curve of a new system, writing emails, going live, etc.

The cost of freedom is temporary sacrifice. You may have to miss out on the next "night out with friends", you might have to stay up late and wake up early, you might even have to skip bedtime or breakfast with your kids. This might sound aggressive, but these are the temporary sacrifices you MIGHT need to make to achieve this goal, and you must be okay with it.

The beauty of this business is once you get yourself in a good position, it becomes incredibly easy to maintain, and operate a digital product + content business. Getting to that good position is the "hard" part.

Learn more, do more, and keep overpaying to win.
