💡 How I Got Started in the Pet Industry
When people ask how I got started in the pet industry, the answer always surprises them.
I didn’t begin with a big facility, staff, or investment. I started at 14 years old, looking after small pets from home - rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs. Clients would bring their pets’ enclosures or I’d supply a hutch myself.
That little side hobby became my first business and sparked a passion that’s now been my full-time career for 19 years.
Here’s the truth:
You don’t need all the time, money, or experience to start. You just need to start small - one service, one client at a time and build from there.
If you’ve been dreaming of leaving the 9-5 to work with animals, let this be your sign. Start with what you can manage now. It’s exactly how I did it.
I’ll be sharing more about my journey (and tips for starting your own pet business) in my upcoming video - keep an eye out!
