Thinker versus Doer
I have been on self improvement for a few years now. A valuable lesson that I have learned is that there are two kinds of people. There is the thinker and there is the doer. As much as I love to talk with my friends about philosophy and improving myself and coming to realizations or resolutions, the only way to go forward that I have found is to do. That isn’t to say that philosophizing and conversing upon self improvement itself isn’t valuable. I simply mean that self improvement is ultimately action. The actions of working out, building something, talking to people. The lack of action by not looking at social media, drinking, video games. And the state of being uncomfortable which is where the growth is. I would say that to anyone here, talking is great for inspiration, but to apply it is where the growth happens.
