Hello everyone, I'm taking the time to post this information with hopes that it helps anyone in the community who may need it on their Defi journey.
I got interested in the BTC/USDC liquidity pool on Shadow exchange because Cory talked about it on TikTok and the Learn To Earn Workshop. I think the reason I like this pool so much is because I can earn a tad bit more by setting an "aggressive" range and monitoring it daily, than I could in a more conservative pool. I will try others in the future with good volume and give my input on those.
I went through training on 6/22/26 and began experimenting with the BTC/USDC liquidity pool on the Shadow exchange on 6/24/26. Here's my daily log from that pool. I started small with $10 and earned $1 within 3 days. My interest peaked. I then decided I needed to put in more money so I could earn more money. I purchased $105 of Sonic on Kraken and sent it to my OKX wallet, and then converted it. For me it's much easier to send sonic coin from a central exchange and convert it to what I need it to be than any other token. I believe Shadow exchange operates on the Sonic blockchain. I could be wrong, but attempting to use Ethereum and USDC on the Ethereum blockchain on Shadow exchange from my OKX wallet gave me trouble. I had USDC in my OKX wallet but I couldn't stake it in the pool because it was on the Ethereum blockchain, but I could see it in my wallet. That was annoying. I'm still new at this and figuring things out. My solution is to buy Sonic coin from Kraken or Coinbase, send it to OKX wallet, and then convert it on Shadow for the liquidity pool you want to participate in. I started a daily log once I had $110 divided evenly in BTC and USDC submitted in the pool. Here's my daily log so far.
Date--------- Earned -----Time (EST) ------Money in Pool
6/27/26-- $0.48--------- 1:00pm-------------- $110.04
6/28/26 --$1.14 ---------9:30am --------------$110.07
6/29/26---$2.09----------5:45am---------------$109.67
6/30/26---$3.40----------4:03pm---------------$108.73
7/01/26---$3.78----------1:34pm---------------$109.76
*3 day period where I didn't log. I claimed $6.49 in earnings on 07/03/26. Bitcoin dropped out of range around this time. I then decided to move roughly $140 from savings and random crypto I had on exchanges and bring it over to invest in the pool. More money, more earnings right?? Now I'm at $250 submitted in the pool and logging continued on July 5th. Don't ever leave money on centralized exchanges, get it in your OKX or Trezor wallet.
7/05/26---$0.95------------7:04pm-------------$249.91
7/06/26---$1.57------------3:57pm-------------$248.91
7/07/26---$2.59------------9:42pm-------------$248.26
7/10/26---$4.28------------4:49pm-------------$250.40
7/11/26---$5.54------------6:55am-------------$250.36
What I've learned so far: When the price of Bitcoin goes down and drops in your preset range, the majority of your money converts to Bitcoin automatically and your earnings, the amount of money submitted to the pool (in this case my $110), and APR decreases. When the price of Bitcoin goes up in your preset range, the majority of your money in the pool converts to USDC automatically and your earnings, amount of money submitted to the pool increases (and earns more), and APR increases. If you'll take note -- the amount of money I staked ($110) fluctuates up and down depending on the price of Bitcoin in the range I set. I didn't record the APR percent or Total Volume in pool when I started logging my daily results, but you can see when the price of Bitcoin dropped, my money in the pool dropped. My earnings slowed, but never decreased.
I just got paid, so I'm moving $100 over to OKX wallet and adding this to the pool shortly. I've noticed in this market you generally get 5-7 days of a slightly steady Bitcoin price before it rises or falls out of an aggressive set range. You can either wait for it to come back in range or pull it and reset range. I generally give it half a day to come back in range before pulling back and resetting. I'm not a pro at this. It's my first go at it. I'm moving over a little bit of money every time I get paid. I'm trying to wait as long as I can before I take earnings. So far I've taken my earnings and added them back to the pool.
