If you’re feeling stuck right now, do this.
Not later. Now.
Step 1 — Name the Decision
What decision are you currently stuck on?
Write it out clearly.
No paragraphs. One sentence.
👉 Example: “Should I leave my job?”
Step 2 — Separate Signal vs Noise
Create 3 quick columns:
Signal (Truth):
What do you KNOW is true?
Noise:
Other people’s opinions, expectations, fears
Pressure:
Urgency, time stress, “I need to decide NOW”
Step 3 — Regulate First
Before you decide anything:
• Inhale 4 seconds
• Exhale 6 seconds
• Do this for 1 minute
You don’t make good decisions in a spike state.
Step 4 — Run the Filter
Ask yourself:
• Truth: What’s actually real here?
• Capacity: Do I realistically have the energy/resources?
• Direction: Does this move me forward or keep me stuck?
Step 5 — One Clean Action
Not the full plan.
