Debt Defense Academy Rules
Welcome to Debt Defense Academy! Please read these rules before posting.
We are thrilled to have you here. This community is designed to give you the strategies, templates, and confidence to fight back against debt collectors. To keep everyone safe and ensure this space remains valuable, we have a few strict ground rules.
1. 🚨 CRITICAL: There is NO Attorney-Client Privilege Here
This is a public forum. Even though I am an attorney, I am not your attorney, and posting here does not create an attorney-client relationship. Your statements in this group are not protected from court processes. Opposing counsel or debt collectors could theoretically find and use what you post.
Rule of thumb: If you wouldn’t want the judge or the debt collector to read it, do not post it.
2. Protect Your Identity (Redact Everything)
When asking questions or sharing documents for review, you MUST redact (black out) your personal information. This includes your full name, address, account numbers, social security numbers, and specific court case numbers. You can post anonymously if you prefer, but redaction is still required for documents.
3. Education Only, Not Legal Advice
The content, templates, and Q&A provided in this group are for educational and strategic purposes only. We are teaching you how to defend yourself pro se (without a lawyer). You are ultimately responsible for your own case, deadlines, and filings.
4. Do Not Give Legal Advice to Other Members
You are encouraged to share your experiences, what worked for you, and offer moral support. However, do not tell other members exactly what they “must” do legally. Phrase your advice as “In my case, I did X” rather than “You need to file Y.”
5. No Self-Promotion or Solicitation
This is a safe space to learn and strategize, not a marketplace. Do not pitch credit repair services, bankruptcy firms, or any other business. Anyone soliciting members in the comments or via direct messages will be immediately banned.
6. Keep the Arsenal Inside the Gates
The templates, video courses, and strategies provided here are exclusive to members of Debt Defense Academy. Do not share, copy, or distribute these resources outside of the group.
7. Be Respectful and Supportive
Dealing with debt lawsuits is incredibly stressful. Many people here are facing wage garnishments or frozen bank accounts. Be kind, be patient, and celebrate each other’s wins. We are all on the same side.
By participating in this community, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. Now, let’s get to work and get those cases dismissed!
