🔎 Quick Tip: Even trusted websites can be unsafe — always check before you click.
Just because a website looks familiar doesn’t mean it’s safe.
Cyber criminals regularly create fake versions of trusted brands — banks, delivery companies, streaming services, even government sites. Sometimes the design is identical. The only difference? A tiny change in the web address.
For example:
- amaz0n.co.uk (with a zero instead of an “o”)
- paypa1.com (with a number “1” instead of an “l”)
They rely on you not noticing.
Before entering any password, payment details, or personal information:
✅ Check the full website address (not just the logo).
✅ Look for spelling errors in the URL.
✅ Don’t click links from emails — go directly to the official site instead.
✅ If something feels rushed or urgent, slow down. That’s often the red flag.
One small check can stop a big problem.
