God saves ... BY HOUSEHOLD!
This message is resisted by every Christian denomination that focuses on individual salvation, a common modern misunderstanding of certain passages in the New Testament. A true biblical vision of salvation, however, understands what the message of the Apostles repeated when Jesus sent them out to preach the gospel of our salvation: God saves by HOUSEHOLD! Think of all the ways God communicates this principle of His.
- Noah and his household were saved from the flood (Heb 11:7)
- The Church is called the "household of God" saved from the wrath to come (1 Tim 3:15)
- The gospel of salvation says, "You will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 11:14; 16:31)
This is why ministers are commanded to be "the husband of one wife" (1 Tim 3:2) whose house is in order with obedient children (1 Tim 3:4). God saves by household.
