STEP 1: CREATE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL
- Go to YouTube
- Sign in with Google
- Click Create Channel
- Add:• Profile picture• Channel banner• Channel description
STEP 2: FOLLOW YOUTUBE POLICIES
Must follow:
• Community Guidelines• Copyright rules• Advertiser-friendly content policies
One strike can delay monetization.
STEP 3: MEET YOUTUBE PARTNER PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Option 1 (Ads Revenue)
You must have:
• 1,000 subscribers• 4,000 watch hours (last 12 months)
OR
• 10 million Shorts views (90 days)
Option 2 (Early Monetization)
You must have:
• 500 subscribers• 3 public uploads in 90 days• 3,000 watch hours OR 3M Shorts views
STEP 4: APPLY FOR YOUTUBE PARTNER PROGRAM
- Go to YouTube Studio
- Click Earn
- Click Apply
You will complete:
• Monetization review• Google AdSense setup
STEP 5: SET UP PAYOUTS
You connect Google AdSense.
Requirements:
• Tax info• Address verification• Bank account
Minimum payout: $100
STEP 6: ENABLE MONETIZATION FEATURES
Once approved you unlock:
• Ads revenue• Super Chats• Super Thanks• Channel memberships• Shopping• Affiliate integrations
STEP 7: KEEP YOUR CHANNEL HEALTHY
Avoid:
• Copyright claims• Reused content• Harmful content
YouTube regularly reviews channels.
